Printing machines are used by the printing industry for fine printing on
a number of products. These machines help to create a three-dimensional
image or effect on different substrates. Embossing can be done on
different materials including paper, textile, metals etc. Embossing
machines are also used to enhance the look of aluminium foils. The
machines are equipped with embossing modes in order to accommodate
different materials. Thermographic machines can also be used for the
raise letter effect.Embossing Printing Process
The process produces three-dimensional images or designs; heat and pressure is applied on the substrate for raising the level of the imprinted area. The process uses male and female dies and counter dies, that fit together to squeeze the fibers of the substrate/paper. The application of pressure gives the embossed look.
