Sheet Fed Offset Printing Machines are a kind of offset machines, using sheets of paper for printing. These machines guarantee high quality and low- medium volume of production.

Parts of a Sheet Fed Offset Machine

• Feeder and Lay Unit: This system ensures feeding of paper sheets into the machine in the same position one after the other.
  
  
• Printing Unit: This system contains a plate cylinder, ink rollers and dampening rollers, blanket cylinder. Each unit generally prints one colour onto the paper. In a 4-color machine, 3 print units will be needed to form a multi-colour image on paper.
  
  
• Delivery Unit: This system is responsible for receiving sheets of paper from the machine and piling them on a delivery board.
